.I work in my home studio on the banks of the Mad River in Warren,Vermont. I am influenced by the landscapes, objects, textures and colors that surround me. I have always been a maker. As a child I was busy making doll clothes, small houses, costumes and anything else that excited my imagination. I drew and painted whenever I could.
I was lucky to attend a school system with rich and varied Art program, especially in junior and senior high school. I went on to study at the Philadelphia College of Art and obtain my degree in Dimensional Studies, majoring in metals under Olaf Skoogfers. Olaf encouraged us to experiment and taught us how to learn on our own through reseearch and trial and error. I came to Vermont in the sixties and have taught and worked here since then.
I create one of a kind and limited addition jewelry and oblects in precious metals. I also do design and model making for other companies and teach part time for the University of Vermont.
